Waterfall Curtain Lights
Our signature installation. Thousands of individual warm-white micro-LED strands cascade from your roofline or fascia, creating a living curtain of light that transforms your home's facade into something genuinely spectacular.
Unlike off-the-shelf curtain lights, our system uses professionally-routed wiring, concealed mounting rails, and custom strand lengths cut precisely to your home's dimensions. The effect is seamless, architectural, and unmistakably premium.

Roofline Lighting
A precision-traced outline of your home's roofline using recessed LED profile channels. The result is a clean, continuous line of warm light that defines your home's silhouette against the night sky with quiet authority.
We work with the roofline's pitch, dormers, and architectural features — not against them. Every corner mitre-cut, every cable channel colour-matched to your fascia trim.

How Aurum Started
In 2014, Marcus Holden — a Red Seal electrician with fourteen years in commercial construction — noticed something during the holiday season: homeowners were spending thousands on lighting that looked cheap, dimmed out within two seasons, and was installed by whoever answered the ad cheapest.
He started Aurum with a straightforward idea: apply commercial electrical standards and architectural thinking to residential exterior lighting. Use the fixtures builders use on hotels. Wire them the way commercial buildings are wired. Maintain them the way a professional maintains a building system.
A decade later, Aurum has illuminated over 340 homes across Surrey, North Delta, White Rock, and the Tri-Cities. The crew has grown to four licensed electricians. The core philosophy has not changed.

The Fixtures We Use.
Why They Matter.
Weatherproof Rating
Every exterior fixture carries a minimum IP67 rating — fully protected against dust and submersion to 1 m depth. BC's rainfall and freeze-thaw cycles demand it.
Colour Rendering Index
Standard residential strips render at CRI 70–80. We specify CRI 90+ on all architectural installs — the difference is visible in how your cladding and stonework look after dark.
LED Longevity
L70 at 50,000 hours means 70% output retained after 50,000 hours of use. At 8 hours per night, that's over 17 years before meaningful degradation.
Colour Temperature
We default to 2700K warm white — the same temperature as incandescent. It flatters wood, brick, and stone. Cool white makes most homes look institutional.
Canadian Electrical Code
All installations comply with the CEC as adopted by BC. Every circuit bonded, every connection weatherproofed, every transformer properly rated. No shortcuts.
Installation Warranty
Five years on all workmanship and fixture defects. We return to repair or replace anything that fails under normal operating conditions. No charge, no fine print.
